The “Pathways to the Future” event is a college and career night that is organized by the school district’s counselors. The event is held every year and the host high school is rotated each time. This year’s event will be held at El Dorado High School on Wednesday, October 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The evening will begin with a brief introduction followed by numerous breakout sessions. Attendees can choose three 30-minute presentations.
A few of the sessions/participants include:
• Financial Aid
• National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)
• University of California, Irvine
• Chapman University
• University of Southern California (USC)
• Military Academies
• Admissions representatives from University of California (UC), California State Universities (CSU)and private universities
• Scholarship opportunities
• And more!
In addition to that event which is open to all families district-wide, El Dorado’s counseling department is hosting a college fair that will feature over 50 representatives from out-of-state colleges. This event will be held on campus on October 13 and is for El Dorado students only. Yorba Linda High School will offer a similar event on October 17 for their students.
