congratulations on your new position in the placentia-yorba Linda Unified School District we are excited to have you join our team and would like to tell you about some of the advantages of being in our district  the pylusd advantage is what makes the placentia-yorba Linda Unified School District and unique place students to learn it guides our decision-making and ensures that our students will have the advantage of an outstanding education  our district cover 45 square mile area in Northeast Orange County and surf students in the cities of Placentia Yorba Linda Anaheim Fullerton and Brea we have 34 schools in our district including for Comprehensive High School's 1 continuation High School 5 Middle School's 1K school 20 elementary schools one Independent high school one independent home school and one special needs School over 25,000 students and have a Workforce of approximately 1030 teachers 1100 class light employees  500 substitutes and 180 managers the people are the heart and soul of the placentia-yorba Linda Unified School we align our organization around core values that support our employees as they work together to realize the vision and Mission vision is the direction that drives us we are committed to being a dynamic learning community that prepares each and every student for Success now and in the future our mission is the reason we exist we hold high expectations for all students to rigorous and relevant educational experiences that challenge students to become ethical and engaged citizens our core values are what we stand for and represent  excellence recklessly pursue excellence in all academic and organizational endeavors  collaboration we work together with all members of our school community sure Student Success  Integrity we Foster relationships that promote respect service and honesty to ensure the well-being of all students and Innovation we Embrace a culture that celebrates Ingenuity and inspires intellectual exploration in your new you have the opportunity to join a team of professionals who serve students either directly in the classroom in position such as a teacher aide or on the bus is a drive where are attendant or you may serve indirectly in departments like Business Services facilities or instructional services but no matter what your new job is you are important to the lives of our students and we value the work you will do  as a new employee you are joining a community of approximately 110 care services employees 430 instructional or special education AIDS and tutors 1030 teachers certificated in classified substitutes 30 maintenance services employees 20 technology Services employees 15 fiscal Services employees 10 Reprographics and Warehouse Services employees  80 Food Services employees 140 secretarial and clerical Services employees 105 Security Services campus supervisor and noon Duty employees 50 Studio Services employees 180 managers 15g employees 25 Library Services employees play transportation services employees  every one of our employees is critical to the success of our district and as a new employee we thank you for the service he will provide  as you work either directly or indirectly to provide every student with the advantage of reaching their full potential we want you to know that you deeply valued as a pylusd employee you are the heart and soul of our district as a pylusd employee you are the advantage
