Home Schooling

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District is proud to announce the opening of a new home schooling support program for students, kinder- garten through eighth grade. This program, which began in the fall of 2001, will enable parents to provide a "home school" environment for their children, while providing them access to a variety of school-based programs such as instrumental and vocal music, art, computers, field trips, academic competitions, athletics and many others. As part of the program, home school families will work with a teacher/partner (a trained and certificated PYLUSD staff member).

The purpose of our support program is to work with parents who choose to educate their children in the home setting to build a sound curriculum that mirrors the instructional program of the school district.
