Great Job!

The Employees of the Year program is fairly new in the Placentia-Yorba Linda school district, this being its third year. Nomination forms are made available in February, and any employee or support group affiliated with the district may submit a nomination for one of the awards.

The finalists are surprised at their worksites by the District Prize Patrol with flowers and an impromptu ceremony. They all receive a check for $350 and their photos are displayed over the next year in the district office lobby. The three Teachers of the Year finalists represent the district in county-level competition, and receive an additional $650.

Because the district has such an outstanding cadre of staff members, it is difficult to select finalists, and we wish we could honor each of them as employees of the year in some special way.We would like to publicly commend them for the outstanding job they do in making this district a leader in the State. We are truly impressed not only with the quality of their work, but the sense of family they have worked so hard to establish.
