There were many PYLUSD partners who participated in our holiday assistance program this year for McKinney Vento families in our district. We are so thrilled to combine forces with so many district and community organizations. The El Dorado ASB was able to collect and deliver over three hundred toys and games to our office for distribution. The teachers got into the act when APLE, the teacher's association, was able to donate three carloads of gifts to several of our families in need of a brighter Christmas. Linda Vista Preschool under the direction of LynnMarie Perez and her students and families collected gifts for several lucky families as well. PYLUSD employees donated food for our holiday food boxes and food pantry. Wagner third graders collected socks for us and delivered them in three giant red stockings! The district workers also donated four boxes chock full of warm socks for our students! The Placentia Lion's Club was able to donate Target shopping sprees to four of our lucky families. Wow! And finally, Roger Carlson, a local CPA and his staff, purchased, prepared and delivered sixty "Boxes of Love", food boxes, to our very happy families! Thank you one and all for all that you did to make the holidays brighter in PYLUSD!
