Below is information regarding the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s (PYLUSD) Health Education.

Framework

The State of California intends to release the new Health Framework in May 2019.

The PYLUSD Health Education instructional materials adoption timeline is set for school year 2021-22, with the pilot in school year 2020-21. Leading up to the pilot school year, and pursuant to Education Code (EC) section 60005, the District will work closely with classroom teachers, administrators, parents, English learner programs, and programs to support students with special needs in order to select Health Education instructional materials that best fit PYLUSD. As always, the instructional materials will be available for review during a 30-day public display prior to final adoption.
