CA Science Test (CAST)

California Science Test (CAST) for grades 5, 8 and High School:

The CAST is given to students in 5th and 8th grade and once during our high school. Since the CAST is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), PYLUSD will give the CAST to 11th Grade students. However, the state requires that any 12th grade student who did not take the CAST in 11th grade, must take the assessment in 12th grade.
