COVID-19 Dashboard

***The COVID-19 Dashboard will be discontinued after the last day of school on June 15, 2023.

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) remains committed to providing accurate and transparent information regarding COVID-19 cases on our campuses, while also maintaining confidentiality for our students, families, and staff.
As such, the district has created a COVID-19 dashboard reflecting confirmed positive cases among district students and staff on our school campuses. Positive cases will be displayed for a 10 day period. The dashboard will be updated as case counts or student enrollment/staffing numbers change, Monday through Friday. Please note, the Dashboard is not updated on weekends, non-school days, or holidays.

The dashboard also provides information about the district’s communication process, family and staff reporting requirements, information about how families and students can limit the spread of COVID-19, and links to other district resources.

Communication Process in the Event of Positive Cases
The district will continue to provide community notifications of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases on campuses through the COVID-19 Dashboard. The Dashboard is updated Monday through Friday but not on weekends, non-school days, or holidays.

PYLUSD COVID-19 Reporting Instructions for Families and Employees
When students are sick or test positive for COVID-19, families should contact their school and share detailed symptom information and the date of onset. Families should reference the district's School Illness Guidelines, which have been developed to help determine when students need to stay home or go home from school.

When employees are sick, they should follow regular absence communication with school administration and through SmartFind, and contact Human Resources immediately so appropriate follow-up can be done. PYLUSD will maintain confidentiality throughout this process.
