Eight PYLUSD Elementary Schools Named 2020 i-Ready Distinguished Schools

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) is proud to announce that 8 elementary schools have been identified as i-Ready Distinguished Schools for Remote Learning Success. This includes Bryant Ranch, Fairmont, Glenknoll, Golden, Linda Vista, Melrose, Sierra Vista, and Wagner elementary schools.

Notably, i-Ready presented only 15 elementary schools in total with the same distinction across four local counties–Imperial, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego. PYLUSD is honored that 8 of those 15 recognitions belong to Placentia and Yorba Linda elementary schools.

The i-Ready Distinguished Schools for Remote Learning Success award was based on a review of i-Ready Personalized Instruction usage during remote learning in between the months of March and May in Spring 2020. The district is proud of the students, families, and staff members at each of the awarded elementary schools for their diligent efforts and strong commitment to learning and achievement through an online environment.

With the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the district is thankful to have implemented i-Ready at all 21 of our elementary schools in 2017. It has proved to be an invaluable resource for teaching and learning in addition to the district’s newly upgraded fleet of technology devices to help meet the demands of remote learning. The start of the 2020-2021 school year marked the first time in the district’s history that the student-to-device ratio is 1:1 for the entire PK-12 population.

The i-Ready Distinguished Schools for Remote Learning Success award is just one example of remarkable student achievement, the core of the district's mission and vision in PYLUSD. Congratulations, PYLUSD elementary schools!
