PYLUSD Band Pageant Event

pageant is an annual event that we hold here the pylusd that showcases Oliver Middle School and High School marching bands and color guards and each one of them has an opportunity to do Kasson review in front of the stands where the crowd is there's about 3,000 people so it's a big event and they all play their parade March as they finish their trademarks they March around the back of the field in one by one fill up the entire Stadium Field so that by the end after all 10 groups of come through we have a little over 1,200 students on the field to perform two combined numbers tell great to be on the field with all the schools marching bands and color guards and with our other directors and it's great as a director of two only see my students out there but see all the students out there's a lot of great things happening in our school district through music education  music ancillary benefits it's a motivator you know they're in school they want to go on that music day those kids are all there so if they're there they're engaged and not just that class during gates in all of their classes in there's a lot of crossover between work and use it and certainly working math end their critical thinking skills which are applied to all of their classes across the board so we value that we understand the benefits of that the research is really clear it's impactful or the students and for the district as a whole so it's something that we highly Regard in and make sure that students have the opportunity to participate
