Video Tribute to Induction Colloquium

Last Thursday, PYLUSD teachers, administrators, and board members gathered together at the annual Induction Colloquium. This special event celebrates new teachers who are in the process of completing their clear credentials and gives them a formal venue to share their accomplishments during the school year, focusing on action research and student learning within the schools. The video showcases the new and mentor teachers as they break new ground in our esteemed profession.

    Valencia graduate, 95 year-old Frank Pancho Rangel, recently visited his alma mater. Mr. Rangel is featured in the Valencia Attendance Office mural from the class of 1936. This interview is truly a powerful reminder of how a high school experience creates memories for a lifetime.

    VHS Assistant Principal Dr. Nancy Watkins conducted the interview for the video and teacher, Sue Sawyer produced it. It’s worth the watch!
