As we near the end of a historic school year in education and all other facets of life, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) will celebrate California Week of the Teacher, affectionately known as Teacher Appreciation Week, May 9-15, 2021.
Outlined in the strategic plan, The PYLUSD Advantage, the district’s vision states: “We are committed to being a dynamic and supportive learning community that prepares each and every student for success now and in the future.”
This purposeful vision, of which is nearly impossible without the dedication of the district’s exceptional educators, is clearer now than ever before. This school year, teachers worked harder than ever to ensure both roomers and Zoomers were afforded the opportunity for educational success throughout three different types of instructional models—remote, hybrid, and now full time. It is for this reason, and so many more, that the district spends an entire week giving huge ‘thanks’ to our devoted teachers.
