Two Trustees Take Their Oath of Office to Serve on the Board of Education

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) would like to congratulate two Trustees on the Board of Education—Carrie Buck, who was reelected in trustee area 5, and Todd Frazier, who was elected in trustee area 4.

On Tuesday, December 13, the Trustees took their Oath of Office and joined alongside the district’s three other Board Members–Marilyn Anderson, Leandra Blades, and Shawn Youngblood.

The Board also held its annual reorganization meeting during this time and appointed Shawn Youngblood as President, Leandra Blades as Vice President, Todd Frazier as Clerk, and Marilyn Anderson and Carrie Buck as Trustees.

The district’s five Board officials are elected to four-year terms by the community in order to provide leadership and citizen oversight of the district. Working with members of my leadership team and me, the Board adopts an annual budget and approves expenditures; establishes district policy; approves curriculum, textbooks and courses of study; and makes decisions on school sites, building plans and construction contracts, among numerous other duties.

Congratulations again, Trustees!

Carrie Buck and Todd Frazier.
