Foxconn has also been eager to support the robotics program with engineers to help the students design and build the robots. Using the recent Career Technical Education (CTE) grant, the team hopes to purchase a waterjet. Once both of these items are in place, the TiGears will be able to design and build their own robots on site. Valencia is also preparing to host a FIRST Robotics competition in September. It will be the first competition hosted in Orange County.
