Cameron Castaneda, an 8th grade language arts teacher at Yorba Linda Middle School, was recently honored by the California League of Middle Schools (CLMS) as a finalist for Region 11’s “Educator of the Year” award. Her nomination highlighted her innovative instructional strategies and projects, her use of technology in the classroom, and her outreach to provide training to other teachers in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. Ms. Castaneda is an inspiring teacher and leader in the district and is very deserving of this noble recognition.
