Ian is a Digital Media Arts student and was nominated for cinematography and editing of “Holding Back the Tide”. “‘Holding Back the Tide’ is a documentary about the risks Newport Beach faces from rising sea levels. ... The beauty of the oceanic scenery juxtaposes the ominous situation before the residents. They know that the ocean is rising, but when will a storm come and truly make them realize what destruction the tides could bring? ... (This film) was originally made over the course of five days for the Fusion Doc Challenge.”
