Orangethorpe to Close During O.C. Bridges Construction

Orangethorpe Avenue will close to traffic beginning Aug. 11 as crews continue working to build a bridge over the railroad tracks so vehicles no longer have to wait for trains to pass. The closure, from Thames Street to Chapman Avenue, will be in effect until spring 2016, when construction is expected to be completed.

Both entrances to the district office (off Orangethorpe and Jefferson) will remain open during construction. Please provide extra time for detours and drive safe! Read more...

Kraemer Blvd. / BNSF Railroad Underpass Project

On June 30th the Kraemer Blvd. underpass at the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad opened to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The project took two years to complete at a cost of $67 million. Now that two of the five planned bridges are completed (Placentia Ave. opened earlier this year) traffic in the downtown Placentia area will be greatly relieved. Read more...
