The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) would like to welcome our new Board of Education Trustees. They are:

- Leandra Blades
- Shawn Youngblood
On Tuesday, December 15, the Trustees took their Oath of Office and joined alongside the district’s two existing Board Members–President Karin Freeman and Vice President Carrie Buck.
In PYLUSD, Governing Board officials are elected by the community in order to provide leadership and citizen oversight of the district. Working with the Superintendent, the Board adopts an annual budget and approves expenditures; establishes district policy; approves curriculum, textbooks and courses of study; and makes decisions on school sites, building plans and construction contracts, among numerous other duties.
