Jackson Hartman Sworn in as New Student Member on the PYLUSD Board of Education

Valencia High School senior Jackson Hartman was sworn in as the new Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Student Board Member on Thursday, January 21, 2021. His term will last throughout the second semester of the school year.

As the Student Board Member, Jackson will prepare a monthly report to present at each Board Meeting. His reports will highlight recent activities and events occurring on the district’s high school and alternative campuses. He will also cast preferential votes on important matters related to PYLUSD.

Jackson grew up in our district having attended Brookhaven and Golden elementary schools, Kraemer Middle School, and now Valencia.

As a senior, Jackson serves the Tigers as ASB President. In this elected role, he has a long list of important responsibilities including planning school-wide events and activities, exemplifying school spirit, overseeing budgets, and much more.

In addition to ASB, Jackson's senior year also includes multiple International Baccalaureate (IB) classes and other extra-curricular activities such as soccer and choir.

The district is incredibly pleased that Jackson has agreed to serve as the Student Board Member during his final school year at Valencia and in PYLUSD. Congratulations, Tiger!
