Acting Superintendent's Message

On behalf of the Board of Education, I am pleased to welcome you to the PYLUSD website.

 

PYLUSD is proud to serve approximately 23,500 students across 34 award-winning K-12 schools located in Placentia, Yorba Linda, and parts of Anaheim, Brea, and Fullerton in Orange County, California. At PYLUSD, our mission is to inspire every student through rigorous, engaging, and relevant learning experiences that empower them to become responsible, ethical, and contributing citizens.

 

With roots dating back to 1874, PYLUSD has a long and proud history of educational excellence. What began as a one-room schoolhouse founded by dedicated pioneers has grown into one of the most respected school districts in Southern California. In 1989, the Placentia and Yorba Linda school districts unified to form the dynamic, forward-thinking district we know today.

 

PYLUSD’s longstanding reputation for excellence is the result of a strong commitment to student success and a supportive learning community. This tradition continues through the tireless efforts of our educators, staff, families, and community partners.
