The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Leadership Academy is one way that the Human Resources Department strives to reach its goal to “integrate, elevate, and celebrate” all employees.
Over time, the Leadership Academy has grown to offer five leadership pathways for classified, certificated, and management employees. Each of the pathways support PYLUSD Strategic Plan Initiative 2.4 to “develop and implement comprehensive professional development for instructional leaders, teachers and support staff.”
Participants in any of the Leadership Academy pathways benefit from the opportunity to study literature and discuss leadership practices. They also learn more about themselves when they take a self-assessment inventory and consider their strengths in the context of team building, leadership development and conflict resolution.
Following is a list that highlights the unique components of each leadership pathway.
