Fee-Based Preschool

2025-2026 School YearLearning Centers

Thank you for your interest in our preschool programs. Our Early Learning Centers use a holistic approach to meet the developmental and individual needs of all children in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. We are guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

Each classroom maintains a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Upon arrival, children gather for a classroom meeting to discuss the schedule and plan for the day's activities. Our Early Learning Centers encourage active learning that draws on children’s natural curiosity, motivation, and abilities.

Next, students participate in play-based center time featuring teacher-curated provocations. Children engage in dramatic play, projects, building blocks, sensory play, manipulatives, and writing. This environment allows them to make choices, generate ideas, and interact meaningfully with their peers. Center time is aligned with state standards and developmentally appropriate frameworks (California Learning Foundations and Frameworks). Teachers also promote the students' social-emotional skills using research-based practices.

Following center time, students clean up by independently organizing materials and returning them to their designated spots. Children then participate in large-group activities, which may include storytime, literacy, math, writing, science, music, dance, or games. Afterward, students break into small guided groups designed to meet each child's individual learning level, focusing on communication and foundational writing skills.

Later, children build gross motor and social-emotional skills during outdoor play. At the end of the day, children review what they have learned and are encouraged to gather their belongings independently before being dismissed.
