Application Process for New or Transferring F1 Visa Students

Thank you for your interest in the PYLUSD International Student Program, your American high school adventure begins here.
 
Step 1: In order to be considered for acceptance, students must complete and submit the International Student Application. After initial review of the application, students and/or their representative will be contacted to submit the following: $250 non-refundable application fee; letter of recommendation from a current school teacher or administrator with school stamp or seal; copies of transcripts; copy of passport.
 
Step 2: After Step 1 is completed and initial documentation is received, you will be contacted to schedule an in person or online interview via Zoom.
 
Step 3: After the interview and upon formal acceptance into the PYLUSD International Student Program an official letter of acceptance will be sent with directions on how to submit the balance of the tuition $14,870 - $250 (deposit) = $14,620.
 
Step 4 (New Visa Applicants): After the full tuition payment and additional documentation is received, PYLUSD will issue the official I-20 document. The I-20 form is needed to apply for the F1 Student Visa at the American Embassy in the student's home country. For shipment of the document we use University Express Mail Service, UEMS. You will be required to create a student account at https://study.eshipglobal.com/ prepay shipping cost and choose your shipping preference from UPS, Fedex, or DHL.
Once you receive the I-20 document you will need to go online and pay the I-901 fee at www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/ This fee needs to be paid before going to the embassy. 
 
Step 4 (Transferring Students): Submit a copy of current I-20 and F1 visa page of your passport. An I-20 transfer request will be sent to the previous school.
 
Step 5: After obtaining the F1 visa please complete the following requirements.
  1. Scan and email a copy of the student visa page in your passport to [email protected]
  2. Schedule your travel dates. You may arrive in the USA no sooner than 30 days before school starts.
  3. Send copies of all immunizations in English.
  4. Complete the Caregiver's Authorization Affidavit
  5. Schedule the Math and Language Assessments
  6. Complete online enrollment
